I like the way the red seems to symbolise blood and how the portrayed light seems to emanates from the centre of the piece, tapering off into darkness at the left and right edges. Very apocalyptic work. In my vague interpretation it's almost as if the organic, sinewy red cords are holding the figures back, and seems to resemble society, forcing people to be a cerain way. I suppose that may be implied by the fact they're all wearing what looks like a uniform aswell.
The light to which we are drawn will be our downfall... thats the impression i get.
Lol either that or theyre school students with exams looming hehe
-- `But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
I debated for a moment on not commenting on this for two reasons: one, you'd have more faves on it than comments, which is something to behold in cases like this; and two, I think the piece speaks for itself. Very beautiful, while a bit macabre, it has a very 'hopeless' feel to it. I love the vibrance of the red- it really brings out the idea that something awful is probably gonna happen to these unlucky people.
Don't know what it's supposed to be about; I only know I like it. +fav'd, definetly.
